CET is accepting applications for:


DEVELOPER, NEW MEDIA

CET is hiring a full-time developer. This position focuses on creating and maintaining web services that interact with a complex database and implement business logic. 

Candidates with a strong grasp of programming principles, particularly experience with classic ASP, ASP.net, (C# or VB.net) and Javascript, will be given preference. Candidates familiar with enterprise-level Content Management Systems, data mining and warehousing concepts will be given top consideration.

Because CET is forward thinking and seeks to be a leader in the New Media field, developers will have the opportunity help chart the organization's course and be able to expand and improve their skill sets.

CET work schedules are flexible within reason and employees work in a casual environment. CET is easily accessible, located just north of the downtown Cincinnati business district.

Here's the list:
 
  • Must have demonstrated experience with SQL Server 2000/2005 including but not limited to indices, stored procedures, views, user defined function, SSIS/DTS packages and good knowledge of T-SQL.
  • Must have demonstrated experience with HTML/XHTML, ASP, ASP.net, (C# or VB.net), XML and Javascript.
  • Should be able to code from ground-up instead of using built-in wizards or tools provided by applications such as Microsoft Visual Studio.
  • Ability to work in a team-based, collaborative environment; experience with Windows platform.
  • Knowledge of W3C HTML/XHTML, CSS and 508 Accessibility standards.
  • Must be a self-starter who is detail oriented and organized and can analyze and solve problems.
Bachelor's degree preferred, or related professional Internet experience.

With over 1000 videos available online, CETconnect helps bring Cincinnati to the world with rich, high-quality video content: features in topics ranging from business, current affairs and art to history, science and kids and families. The content is unique to CETconnect and updated daily so that there's always something new to watch. CETconnect is being designed and repurposed to include new technologies.
