A goodwill offering will be accepted with proceeds to benefit the Bophelong Hospice in Mamelodi Township, South Africa.

The Architectural Foundation of Cincinnati gives the Apple Award each year to an individual or entity who exemplifies the foundation's mission. The 2008 honoree is Arn Bortz. A partner in Towne Properties, Bortz pioneered new construction and adaptive reuse projects for downtown living. He will receive the prestigious Alice F. and Harris K. Weston Apple Award at a banquet on May 7. The event will be held at the Hilton Netherland Plaza Hall of Mirrors at 6:30pm. Marty Humes honored with the Charles Vaughan Award

CET honored Marty Humes for her volunteer work for the organization with the Charles W. Vaughan Award.
Marty's history of volunteerism inlcudes many Greater Cincinnati organizations. Also, she has served on the CET Board of Trustees since 2006 and in 2007 Humes took the lead in planning the "Live on CET!" event, one of CET's biggest fundraisers. The annual gala and auction fundraiser was a success for the station thanks to Humes' leadership.
The Vaughan Award was named in honor of Charles W. Vaughan, a past President and General Manager of CET, who was a true force in the Greater Cincinnati community and in the public television industry. The award is given to a person who demonstrates outstanding commitment to CET, longtime volunteer leadership, generosity of time and spirit, and a history of community service.
