Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood: Mister Rogers' Neighborhood is a "television visit" between Mister Rogers and his young viewers. With his caring and trusting ways, Mister Rogers has created a calm, safe place for children to learn about themselves, about others, and about the world around them.
Activity
Neighborhood Field Trip: With the children, plan a walking field trip around the neighborhood. Talk with the children about places you can visit, and list them on a piece of paper. Places to visit could include a grocery store, bus stop, school, library, or post office. Plan a walking route and visit the places on the list. Call ahead to some places to see if they offer tours. After the field trip, the children can draw what they liked most about the trip.
