When Dan Bowling retired at the end of the 2010 baseball season, the Big Blue not only lost one of the finest coaches in the school’s history, but it was departure of one of the state’s all-time best coaches.
Mason High School's Zach Wills (also a LaRosa's MVP of the Year finalist last year as a junior) earned five Ohio state championships in running - three in cross country and two in track. In cross country, Wills earned Ohio state titles as a sophomore, junior and senior, setting numerous records along the way. Wills twice was named Ohio Gatorade Cross Country Runner of the Year and three times was Cincinnati Cross Country Runner of the Year. Even though just graduating, Wills already has been named to the Ohio State Cross Country All-Decade Team.
