Price Farms Organics: Recycling through Composting
Farmer Tom Price saw an opportunity to help the environment by recycling the byproducts of his farm -- cow and pig manure -- through composting. Since his start in that business, his efforts have grown. He opened a site to the public to accept public waste and turn it into compost, a process which, when done passively, takes about a year. He describes the process and challenges. Ralph Anderson, Recycling Coordinator, Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, Doug Krueger, Landscaper and Price Farms neighbor, and Alan Prindle, a member of the Scioto Valley River Association, also discuss composting.
