Voices of Giving: Kenneth H. Kinder II and L. Barry Cors

Nominated by: Episcopal Retirement Homes

Ken Kinder and Barry Cors have many clients who are residents of ERH - both at the Marjorie P. Lee and Deupree Retirement Communities. Barry is also active with the Deupree Residents Council.

Ken and Barry, both accomplished estate planning attorneys, have helped facilitate numerous IRA gift commitments to support ERH’s present and future.

The result of their professional expertise and advocacy is over $200,000 to support the Good Samaritan Mission at ERH. Mission funds support spiritual care, wellness programs, life-enriching activities, and the ever-important promise that no resident will ever be asked to leave due to lack of financial resources. Last year alone, ERH devoted more than $1.9 million above and beyond resident fees to enrich the lives of older adults. The Good Samaritan Mission program is an integral part of this vital effort.

Episcopal Retirement Homes salutes Ken Kinder, Barry Cors and the entire Cors & Bassett team for encouraging clients to include charitable priorities in their estate planning. ERH is honored to recognize their valued contribution to its present and its future and the lasting impact this will have on the quality of their residents’ lives.
