The Barbara Kellar Volunteer Award
 |
Mrs. Kellar & guest at the
CET 2007 Board luncheon.
|
Barbara Kellar has volunteered with CET since 1967, serving many roles including the Auction Week Co-chair, CET Trustee and as chair of An Affair to Remember, CET's 50th anniversary celebration. She has been recognized nationally by PBS for her commitment to CET, as she personifies the essence of what it means to
be a friend of CET.
Each year CET honors a volunteer, or volunteers, with
the Barbara Kellar Volunteer Award. This distinguished honor is given to volunteers, who have dedicated themselves to helping CET further its mission to educate, enrich and engage the Greater Cincinnati community.
Congratulations to our 2007 Barbara Kellar Volunteer Award recipients!

Carol
Fuchs, of North College Hill, can also be found at CET 40 hours a week or more. This year she led the Action Auction Phone Power committee, organizing the Phone Power books filled with donor information, making phone calls, faxing and mailing donor packets and much more.
Sharon Roehm, of Springfield Township, has worked countless hours helping with pledge, events and daily tasks. No job is ever too big, too small or too dirty for her. She is often at the organization for 40 or more hours a week. Roehm takes a leadership role in coordinating volunteers for all CET departments.
Mike Raulston, of Anderson Township, served with Ewing for the past two years as Action Auction co-chair. He has even made volunteering a family event as he brought his wife and children to CET to help during the Auction. Though he does not plan to co-chair the Auction in 2008, he said he will continue to volunteer for the event.
Jackie Ewing, of East Westwood, served as co-chair to the Action Auction for the past two years. Giving countless hours of her time, she helped make the fundraisers successful events for CET. In addition to her service to CET, she volunteers at many other community organizations.
"We are so lucky to have so many helpful volunteers," said CET President & CEO Susan Howarth. "We are grateful for all that Sharon, Carol, Jackie and Mike have done for us. Not only are they hard workers, but they each have a great sense of humor and make working long hours fun."

CET hosts several annual events geared toward meeting the needs of our community. One such event is the Angelina Ballerina Tea Party, which showcases the art of ballet and makes dreams come true for hundreds of little girls. Thanks to the hard work of Maria Cholak and Suzanne Costandi, Angelina Ballerina co-chairs, this year’s event was the most successful CET Kids Club event to date! |
